Be free…

    Be free –

    • From the desire to react to every little incident that happens around you or to you
    • From fear… of being rejected, of losing to another, of making a fool of yourself, of being misunderstood, of failing to complete a task or a course of action, of living up to the dictates of your heart
    • To ask the simplest of questions if you haven’t understood something clearly
    • To take time off to reflect whenever you feel it is needed
    • To share your deepest, most honest opinions and thoughts in any dialogue…
    • To experiment with different ways of living, dressing, talking, writing, expressing yourself, cooking, being. You are unique and you do not have to conform to any existing patterns. Feel free to discover or create your own paths.
    • From holding on to past moments of grief or sadness. Feel free to immerse yourself in feelings of joy and bliss and happiness, whether from the past or in an imagined future or right here, right now in the present…
    • To enjoy a hearty laugh or a silly giggle with family and friends and especially with the most beautiful of God’s creation, little ones, both human and animal. Give them freely of your time and attention for they need it the most. Bless them with your ‘presence’ and love them as fully as you can, with lightness and ease of mind.
    • To smile a smile of warmth and affection at a complete stranger whenever you feel the need.
    • To read books that inspire you, watch films that move you, and listen to music that touches you deeply, for all these are food for your soul.
    • To eat only that which makes you feel at ease, light in body and spirit, yet content.
    • To walk away from conversations that you feel are demeaning or unhelpful in your spiritual growth. Feel free to also make this felt among your companions so that they know where you are.
    • To choose the activities you give your time and energy to… for each action is also a seed that you are planting today, that awaits tomorrow for its blossoming. What are you planting?
